The folks over at TV Line announced this morning that ‘White Collar’ hunk Matt Bomer is “this close” to making a deal to guest star on Glee. If it all works out, he will appear in an April episode, playing the older brother of former Warbler and now New Direction member Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss).
This potential guest-starring role is rather a big deal because it will be the first time any member of the Anderson family is shown on the series; and it will be the first time for many TV viewers to her Bomer sing – and yes, the man can sing (besides wear a fedora like no other man in decades).
Before landing the role of Neal Caffrey on the USA Network hit series ‘White Collar’, Bomer appeared in shows like ‘Chuck’, ‘Tru Calling’, ‘Guiding Light’ and the short-lived series ‘Traveler’. He also had a small role in the box office film ‘In Time’ and he will be seen in the much-buzzed about film ‘Magic Mike’ as well as the in-the-works Ryan Murphy (the man behind ‘Glee’) film adaptation of the Larry Kramer play ‘The Normal Heart’.
‘Glee’ will air its next new episode – the Michael Jackson extravaganza – on Tuesday, January 31 on FOX at 8/7c.
