I received this in my mailbox this morning and had to share. It’s a mashup of TV Theme songs from the past 20 years played by The Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra, an 8 piece string ensemble.
It’s not only beautiful to watch but also fun to try and figure out all the theme songs. I was able to figure out all of them except the last one. Were you able to figure all of them out?
And as a bonus, if you enjoyed the TV theme song medley video, I wanted to share another one from the Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra because I love that song. Here is their take on “Time to Pretend” by MGMT:
But that’s of course not all. You can find plenty more videos on their YouTube channel.
Here is more information on the orchestra:
Jingle Punks is a music-licensing company who has provided songs for channels such as Comedy Central and countless shows like The Voice, and The Hipster Orchestra was created by them on a bit of a lark-it was a fun side project for the Jingle Punks team. They have appeared on Late Night with Carson Daly, and their videos have been featured on NYTimes.com, NY Magazine’s “Vulture”, Mashable and Stereogum, to name a few, and they have also put out two albums of covers.
