Former Law and Order: SVU Star Chris Meloni Is Eyeing TRUE BLOOD

TV Line is reporting that Law and Order: SVU star Chris Meloni, who surprisingly left his post behind at the crime drama last spring, is in talks to star in TRUE BLOOD.

Meloni will reportedly take on a “major role” in the Allan Ball vampire series that is moving into its fifth season. The news outlet, since HBO isn’t talking at this point, believes Meloni will portray a powerful blood sucker on the show. Not much else has been revealed in regards to his role, but fans are looking extremely happy about Meloni possibly making his way to Bon Temp.

Currently shooting a top secret role in director Zack Synder’s Man of Steel, Meloni has been seen over the years in the TV movie Kentucky Derby, Dirty Movie, Michael & Michael Have Issues, Gym Teacher: The Movie, Law and Order: Trial by Jury, Scrubs, Oz, Runaway Bride, Carlo’s Way, Homicide: Life on the Street, and the Nicholas Sparks adaption Nights in Rodanthe. He is also on board the upcoming movie Awful Nice as the character Jon.

Will actor Chris Meloni be a great addition to the cast of True Blood? Can you picture him as one of HBO hit series’ vampire?
