TV Line is reporting that Livin la vida Loca singer Ricky Martin will appear in an episode of Fox’s GLEE. The well known star is said to be in talks to star as McKinley High School’s Spanish teacher, who also has a love for music. According to a Glee insider that spoke with TV Line, Martin’s alter ego will be “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio.”
Martin is also rumored to be performing two huge musical numbers during his stint, with his guest appearance on Glee set to air this coming New Year in January. The singer is then off to perform on Broadway in the production of Evita. He has signed on to play the character Che is the slew of shows that will open in April 2012.
Ricky Martin’s previous acting roles have been in the soap opera drama General Hospital. Martin appeared on the series for two years. His additional television credits include the competitive show Dancing with the Stars, Nearly Famous, Darla, and Sex and the City the TV series.
