90210 “Project Runway” Review

90210 “Project Runway” Season 4 Episode 11 – For an episode called “Project Runway” that revolved around a fashion show, I was shocked that there was no clever tie-in with America’s Next Top Model. Unless you count Janice Dickinson. Never fear, though; 90210 still managed to give a shout-out to The Vampire Diaries. That’s the CW we know and love!

So, Naomi decides that her calling in life is fashion design, never mind the fact that most people who are successful designers have been sewing their own clothes since kindergarten. Unfortunately for her, Holly suddenly has the same dream, and they wind up in the same class. After a few days of sketches, they’re ready to put on their first fashion show. Just go with it; it hurts if you think about it too much.

Holly steals Naomi’s ideas, but fortunately (or is it unfortunately?) Naomi’s designs stink, and they both lose whatever prize they were after. But Naomi impresses a big-shot party planner and lands herself a nifty internship. Unfortunately (big word tonight), the party planner is Holly’s mom. Even more unfortunate, especially to truce the girls called after the show, Holly wanted that internship. Ruh-roh!

Dixon tries to get back into the music scene with the help of his totally un-rehabbed rehab roommate. But he manages to resist temptation and creates some great music…using one of Adrianna’s songs. Ouch! Karma is a beeotch, Ade!

Liam is still in massive debt to his modeling agency, which leads to him being booked for more and more humiliating jobs. And while we all liked seeing him dressed as a vampire (if you didn’t, you must just hate pretty things), he was clearly more Edward than Stefan. But the CW doesn’t own Twilight, so it was a Vampire Diaries themed party to which he was assigned. He got back a little at his new, sucky (pun intended) role in life by being a really horrible model for Holly’s stolen fashion line. That was pretty great of him.

Navid wants Silver back. Blah, blah, blah, what else is new? If he really wants her back, he’s going to need to request a new detective for his sting operation, perhaps one who would look hairy and horrible in a bikini.

Annie wants her money, but the odds of her getting even half of the movie star’s estate grows ever slimmer, as the mean (but totally hot) grandson knows that she sold his grandmother’s necklace almost immediately after her death. In truth, it was kind of a bitch move for the supposedly-sentimental Annie, but a girl’s gotta do what she’s gotta do when it comes to money. Annie’s been doing what it takes all season.

We also said goodbye to Teddy this week, but at least he reconciled with Silver and got his hot boyfriend back before he left for London. Or Boston. Not sure which; it got a little fuzzy at the end there. Regardless, he’s gone for the time being, but I have a feeling we’ll see him again someday.

What I think is that you didn’t pay atention to the episode…
    1) Naomi and Holly weren’t in a class, it was a CU competition for designers, that is why there couls put together a fashion show, as this was the objective all along.
    2) Dixon didn’t stole Ade’s music, he just used her as an inspiration and strenght to go over his fear, instead of using the cocaine his “friend” gave him. It was not her music playing, from what I understood.
    3) Teddy and Shane are not moving to either London or Boston – they are going to Washington DC and that was pretty clear in the episode.

      Thanks for reviewing;)

Well yes the first and last point are correct but the 2nd one I do believe he stole it and that Ade will think the same thing. Even though Dixon may think he just created a duet but using it without permission is stealing and I didn’t see any phone call to Ade before he used it.

Now to Ana those key points you pointed out really would only stick out to a hard core 90201 watcher. I caught them but doesn’t mean everyone would and they really weren’t important details any way.
