According to The Hollywood Reporter, fans of the new NBC fairytale drama GRIMM has reason to rejoice. The network has picked up the show for a full season.
NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said this about the show, “We are very pleased to be making a full-season commitment… (the) series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights. We love where it’s going creatively and we’re excited to deliver more episodes to our audience.”
The series stars David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz and Russell Hornsby in a story about a Portland police detective (Giuntoli) who learns he is more than a cop, he is a Grimm – a descendent of a group of hunters who fight to keep humanity safe from supernatural creatures of the world.
This full season order comes mere days after the network ordered additional scripts of the series from writers David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf.
While Grimm airs on NBC on Friday nights at 9/8c, a special episode will air on Thursday, December 8 at 10/9c.
