Welcome to Daemon’s TV 3.0

Hello Everyone,
 
As you many have noticed, there is something different about Daemon’s TV today.
 
We are very proud to roll out our most important and expansive web site redesign. This new look is the fruit of months of effort and work between the very talented Michael Martin and his team from Pro Blog Design, our team and more importantly You.
 
Yes, You!
 
Why, you ask? Well, a little while ago, we did a survey to get some very useful feedback from Daemon’s TV readers to find out what we could do better. We took the feedback and incorporated a lot of it in the new design that you see today.
 
The result is a more robust web site with vastly improved performance, optimized navigation, well defined sections and just generally simpler to use. The goal is to allow you to get the smoothest experience possible when you are interacting with Daemon’s TV.
 
So you must be wondering what’s new in Daemon’s TV 3.0. While a lot of the changes are on the backend, there are numerous improvements that we are very excited for you to try. Before we run through a more detailed presentation of the most important ones, let us quickly highlight what you can expect:
 
- You can now find all the reviews, news, photos or videos of a specific show in one click.
 
- You can now follow all the article updates for a specific show through a dedicated RSS feed.
 
- You can now follow you favorite Daemon’s TV author through a specific RSS feed.

Note: While the new theme has been launched, we are still working out a few kinks here and there so please be patient with us as we work through them.
 
Homepage

Our homepage has a pretty similar structure as our previous ones but with some pretty noticeable changes.
 
Revamped Search function

You can now search our site in three different ways:
 
- TV Shows:  Search by individual show name
- Articles: Search by a keyword in the article
- Entire Site: Search by a keyword anywhere on the site
 
Channels

You can now easily expand and collapse our list of channels and shows without having to hover on it. This will allow you to quickly find a show or channel.
 
Social Options

 
It is now even easier to follow Daemon’s TV with our new social section which highlights all the places you can follow us.
 
Favorite Spots

 
A lot of you insisted that we provide consistent access to certain sections of our site which is why we added the following section in prominent buttons on the homepage
 
- Latest Articles
- TV Shows A-Z
- On TV Tonight

On TV Tonight

Now if you click on either the navigation button or on the homepage button of ON TV TONIGHT, it will take you straight to the latest posted TV schedule.
 
Highlights

This new section on our homepage will be our online version of a bulletin board on which we will highlight important announcements and sections of our web site.
 
So that’s the homepage. How about we move on to the article page?
 
Article Page
 
Ok well this is a meaty one. A lot of new tidbits here so let’s get to it, shall we.
 
Show Module

The first thing you will immediately notice is that we have replaced our previous article based module with a show module. This new show module contains new sections for each show that will be incredibly useful:
 
- Overview: This will take you to a show page with more information on the show such as synopsis, cast list, air date and more.
 
- Reviews: This will take you to the list of all the reviews we have ever written for that show.
 
- News: This will take you to the list of all the news we have ever written for that show.
 
- Photos: This will take you to the list of all the articles with photos we have ever posted for this show.
 
- Videos: This will take you to the list of all the articles with videos we have ever posted for this show.
 
TV Show Page
 
We have added very interesting sections:
 
Follow Updates

- You can now follow all the published articles for a show through a dedicated RSS feed.
 
- You can also easily bookmark this page by clicking the bookmark button.
 
Navigation Module

 
We have added a new navigation module that will allow you to find specific information depending on the show that is the topic of the article you are reading.
 
Sidebar
 
Highlights

Similar to the homepage section, this will highlight the most important announcements and sections of Daemon’s TV.
 
Latest Widget

By clicking on the tabs, you can see the latest reviews, news and articles that we have written on Daemon’s TV.
 
TV Shows A-Z Page

 
We have also revamped our “TV show A to Z” section so that you can quickly and easily find the show that you are looking for. In addition, we have now additional filters so that you can discover new shows by genre if you are so inclined.
 
Author Page

You can now follow all the articles of one specific author more easily by subscribing to their dedicated RSS feed.

That’s all for now, folks. As mentioned previously, we are working tirelessly to ensure that this launch goes on as smoothly as possible.
