After waiting for mention of the official mid season premiere date of COUGAR TOWN for months, fans are now being told by ABC that the network has decided to pick up only 15 episodes instead of 22 episodes of the new season, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
This latest news comes after ABC left the Courteney Cox (Friends, Web Therapy) comedy off the line-up of their mid season television series schedule as well. As pointed out by THR, the network already has a full schedule of freshman shows, Don’t Trust The B*tch and Work It, coming on board, leading some to believe that’s why ABC has cut the third season of Cougar Town short.
While the show continues to receive less than stellar treatment, the official date of Cougar Town’s return is also up in the air still, and will most likely be revealed this coming January 2012. What do you think Cougar fans of this latest bad news surrounding the show that stars Cox, Christa Miller (Scrubs, The Andromeda Strain), Busy Philipps (Dawson’s Creek, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Dan Byrd (Community, Heroes)? Is this just another sad indication of what is to come for the series? Will it make it through season 3? Let us know below.
