Best known for her role as iconic Lois Lane on the long-running Smallville series, actress Erica Durance is no stranger to dressing in costume. Now comes news from TV Line that many a geek’s dream come true will happen on HARRY’S LAW when the beauty will don the costume of none other than Wonder Woman in an upcoming episode of the NBC legal drama.
But the circumstances behind her character wearing the costume are less than altruistic. It turns out that her character is actually a “psychologically infirm woman who retreats into the persona of the DC Comics heroine to help wreak revenge on perpetrators of domestic abuse”.
Durance will appear in the 11th episode of the series, which does not yet have a firm air date because of the recent mid-season schedule change by NBC that will have the show moving from Wednesday nights to Sunday nights.
Besides her work on Smallville, Durance has appeared in episodes of Tru Calling, Stargate SG-1 and the short-lived Charlie’s Angels remake. Her made-for-TV movie roles include I Me Wed and Beyond Sherwood Forest. She will soon be seen in the Canadian medical drama Saving Hope that was just ordered to series.
Currently Harry’s Law, now its second season, airs on Wednesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
