90210 “A Thousand Words” Season 4 Episode 9 – Life was so much simpler for the original 90210 gang. They didn’t have to deal with camera phones and social media and the consequences of accidentally emailing video clips of gay weddings to political candidates.
You have to feel bad for Silver. She always tries to do the right thing and it never, ever works out for her. Although she comes clean to Teddy about her role in the scandal that costs him everything, he’s just not ready to forgive her. He’s much more inclined to hotwire a couple of race cars with Liam and take them for a spin around the track, a stunt that lands them both in jail.
What is Liam rebelling against exactly? I know he’s not supposed to be your average Beverly Hills hottie in that he shies away from attention and looks down on fame (while welcoming fortune), but are we really supposed to believe that a teenager who’s been a model for all of five minutes gets to pick and choose his ad campaigns and doesn’t get terminated and sued for willfully breaking the terms of his contract? He is gorgeous, don’t get me wrong, but are his abs really worth all of that?
Speaking of being worth it, Annie must be freaking amazing in bed. What else can account for the fact that her sugar daddy is willing to give her the ten thousand dollars she needs for Dixon’s rehab, even after she goes all girlfriend on him, accusing him of cheating on her with another escort?
Dixon is a mess. He think he’s in love with Adrianna, but it might just be the drugs. He hates Annie for being to protective, but he might have no idea what he’s saying to her. What’s clear is that Annie is willing to whore herself to help him get clean, and Adrianna has definitely fallen for him, but is smart enough to know that rehab and relationships don’t mix. Let’s see how long that lasts.
Meanwhile, Naomi is trying to get over Austin by helping her nerdy sorority sister land a man. It’s classic Naomi, but it works. Now if only she could solve her own love life. I did like her speech about how she’s good on the outside and horrible on the inside. I applaud self-awareness, as long as it leads to change and not just self-pity.
The biggest news of the night is that Raj’s cancer treatment worked and he’s going to live. It would have been a wonderful moment if Ivy wasn’t starting to fall for her photography teacher. A quickie marriage to a dying man is romantic…but what if he lives? You could see that Ivy was just realizing she had tied herself down to one man at only eighteen years old. I don’t see a happy ending for them in the future.
What did you think of tonight’s episode? Are Austin and Naomi over for good? How much lower can Annie go? Let me know below!
