
Academy Award nominee Rosie Perez (Untamed Heart) is coming to the dark showtime comedy NURSE JACKIE. The White Men Can’t Jump actress is slated to appear in one episode as a patient named Jules, who is said to have an unusual diagnosis.
Perez is due to make her appearance in the upcoming fourth season of the critically acclaimed TV series, from writers and executive producers Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem, that will be returning in 2012. The cast of Nurse Jackie, that includes Edie Falco (Sopranos), Peter Facinelli (Fastlane, Damages), Eve Best (The Shadow Line, Vital Signs), and Merritt Weaver (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Law and Order: Criminal Intent), is said to currently be filming in New York. Bobby Cannavale (Blue Bloods, American Dad) will also be appearing as a special guest star this coming season.
In addition to this latest casting announcement, the forty-seven year old Perez has been seen in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Lipstick Jungle, Go Diego! Go, the TV mini series Widows, We Deliver, and Frasier.
Rosie Perez has also appeared in a string of movies such as King of the Jungle, The 24 Hour Woman, and Fearless.
