CHARLIE’S ANGELS has been cancelled according to reports from Deadline. The reboot apparently didn’t make the cut when it came to ratings, even after showing a small spike in the numbers, ABC has decided to part ways with the show that starred Friday Night Lights alumni Minka Kelly, actress Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy) and Annie Ilonzeh (General Hospital).
Per TV Guide, the “reboot dropped precipitously for two weeks to a 1.2 readings in adults 18 to 49.” Rumors are circulating however, that ABC does plan to air the remaining five or more episodes of Charlie’s Angels. Otherwise the show has been officially cancelled with production on the set shutdown. This is the first cancellation for ABC’s fall schedule.
On the bright side ABC’s other fall series, such as the thriller Revenge with Everwood star Emily VanCamp has managed to score a full season order from the network. Suburgatory with Jeremy Sisto of Six Feet Under has also captured viewers attention, with ratings that also ensured a full season for the comedy.
