90210 “Greek Tragedy” Review

90210 “Greek Tragedy” Season 4 Episode 3 – Despite my use of a more lighthearted picture, this week’s episode of 90210 was more tragedy than comedy, by far. First and foremost, Ivy, who has not had much of a storyline lately, is having a hard time dealing with Raj’s cancer, pain and possible dying. Everything seems trivial, no one more so than Naomi who tries to compare Ivy and Raj’s pain to her pain in dealing with Holly. Typical Naomi. Tuning her friends out when she thinks something more important or dramatic is happening to her.

What exactly is happening to Naomi? She got on the wrong side of Holly and swore to get revenge on Holly after the sorority rush. If tonight’s events are any clue, though, I think Naomi may have met her match. Raiding Annie’s room for ammunition? Pretty good. Commandeering a “loser” sorority in order to get into a greek part? A bad take on House Bunny and similar movies. Not so much revenge as just Naomi’s usual tricks. What will she possible be able to do to Holly once Holly leaks about her pregnancy scare? Naomi is not as strong as she would like to think.

What really confused me tonight was the Liam/Annie storyline. Liam spends a week in bed with Jane whom he never tells that he had proposed to someone else just the week before that. Then he gets mad when Annie kisses a random stranger (in the most obvious escort set up ever). Then he tells Jane that he is willing to give their “family” a shot. He is going to raise a child that is not his with a woman he is rebounding with? That sounds like an outstanding plan.

Navid is in trouble. I knew it was going to be bad news when he entered into that deal with his father’s friend, but I predicted more porn not a car theft ring. Now he cannot get out of the situation and he screwed up Dixon’s shot with DJ Juice as well. Maybe Navid and Adrianna have more in common than they think.
