If you’ve read even a few of my reviews here on Daemon’s TV then you know that I have a slight interest in cars.
Okay so maybe it’s a slight obsession but let’s not split hairs, shall we?
I think that the car a character drives can tell a lot about them and I seem to be particularly drawn to characters who drive some pretty awesome cars. I have a tendency to love classic old muscle cars (a love that was cultivated as a little girl when I used to help my dad work on whatever car he had in the garage at the time), but I do occasionally like younger, smaller and less muscled ones, too.
Some of these cars make appearances in nearly every episode, while others only show up as “special guest cars” every once in a while, but all of them manage to make me smile anytime they are on screen.
Oh and I should add a simple disclaimer. Though I may like cars, I do not try to declare myself as an expert about them at all. The information I have gathered on the makes and models of these vehicles was done by researching the internet. So I apologize ahead of time if any are incorrect.

Dubbed “Metallicar” by the fandom and affectionately referred to as “Baby” by Dean, this beautiful piece of machinery has been through a lot. Turns out having an owner who fights supernatural creatures for a living has its downfalls. One of which being that every couple years or so you get your frame crumpled by a demon or two.
In the seventh season premiere, Dean again had to rebuild his baby but unlike the transformation early in season two, we actually got to watch her step-by-step progression from junkyard resident to a majorly hot piece of ass….er car once again. Baby is so cool in fact that she even has her own theme song – “Back in Black” by AC/DC.

This is a car that doesn’t make an appearance very often on the show but when it does, it usually means there is some action coming. Started as a project with his father when he was a teenager, Gibbs left it behind when he joined the Marines. Giving it up as a long-lost dream, he was as surprised and delighted as we all were to find out that his dad had continued the rebuild while he was gone.
When he got the car back and jumped in to speed down the street past his shell-shocked team, we saw one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen from Gibbs on the series. Then again, driving a car like that, who wouldn’t smile?

Much like Dean’s Baby, this poor car has been through her own troubles. Early on in the series we discovered the Michael was not above blowing her up to get a job done and since then she’s had a few more dents added to her hood.
But again like Dean and his Impala, Michael is always there to put his car back together. An heirloom from an abusive father, Michael doesn’t seem to love it as much as Dean’s loves his girl, but he can usually be persuaded to get it back on the road again after a particularly nasty mishap.

Yet another piece of sexy machinery to appear on our TV screens, Dwight’s car seems ready-made for a show that takes place in a city known for turning out some amazing musical talent. First of all, because she’s driven by a character who’s a musician as well as a police officer, and also because she’s a bit rock n’roll herself.
Unlike some of the other vehicles on this list, this lucky car hasn’t been injured in the line of duty yet. No bullet holes have marred her frame and she has yet to smash into another car to stop a fleeing suspect. Let’s just hope it stays that way.

See? I told you not all my favorites were big, old muscle cars. Affectionately referred to as the “Blueberry” this great little vehicle has gotten both Shawn and Gus out of a lot of jams (you have no idea how hard it was to avoid a blueberry jam joke right there). And while it may be tiny, I had to include it on this list because of how it makes me feel every time it comes on screen. It’s just so darn cute, you know?
Also, there’s no doubt that it has the best mileage out of any other vehicle on this list and you can’t beat that.
So what do you guys think? Are there any other car lovers out there who want to list out their favorite “Special guest cars” from other shows? Or do y’all think I’m a complete nut and can’t figure out why I just wrote about cars on a television news site? Either way, I’d love to hear from you!
