TV Guide has revealed some great news for ONE TREE HILL fans. According to the site, Brooke Davis’ long lost father will be showing up in the CW series’ last season. Actor Richard Burgi of Desperate Housewives fame has been tapped to play the on-screen father of Sophia Bush, who shows up after years of being absent. After missing his daughter’s wedding, he’ll come back to town to see his two new grandchildren Jude and Davis.
Richard Burgi will also joins several other stars scheduled to guest star. Actress Barbara Alyn Woods will reprise her role as Nathan’s Mom, Deb Scott. Other One Tree Hill alum set to make a comeback in the long running show’s ninth and final season on air is actor Chad Michael Murray (Lies in Plain Sight), who is set to return for one episode after he left the show some years back to concentrate on other projects.
Hopefully fans will also see Murray’s on screen wife Peyton, played by Hilarie Burton (White Collar) return as well.
Richard Burgi is scheduled to make an appearance when OTH makes its return midseason on the CW Network. Burgi has been seen in Desperate Housewives over the years, The Glades, Hot in Cleveland as the character Timothy, the TV series Chuck in the role of Clyde Decker, Breakout Kings, Lie To Me, NCIS, Knight Rider, Reaper, the TV series Big Shots and several films.
