ALPHAS Season 2 Announced

ALPHAS (SyFy) "Catch and Release" Episode 7 (4)
Syfy has renewed its new original drama series ALPHAS for a second season of 13 episodes to air in 2012.

The series is currently airing on Monday nights at 10pm and follows a clandestine group of ordinary people whose unique neurological condition equips them with extraordinary physical abilities. Led by preeminent neurologist and psychiatrist Dr. Lee Rosen (David Strathairn) and operating within the Defense Department, the team investigates cases involving other Alpha activity.

Alphas debuted on July 11th becoming Syfy’s most-watched original scripted series premiere in two years. To date the series has averaged 3.3 million total viewers (including all available Live +7 DVR data) for its new episodes.

    Great news!. Alphas has definitely shown some improvement since the pilot.

    I second that. This show has gotten better week to week as the characters are more fully developed.

    That being said I hope that quality can be maintained (or improved) into season 2

    After the first episode I really wasn’t sure about the show, but it has steadily improved every week. The best episode being ‘Catch and Release’ guest starring the beautiful and talented Summer Glau.

      I agree!
      Summer Glau did a great job as usual and his episode is considered one of the best so far (not to mention the ratings bump)
      Fansite Summer Glau Wiki has collected reviews for the episode and they all praise Summer’s performance.
