Fans of Heroes can now rejoice that the Lost fans aren’t the only ones getting to see fan favorites together on HAWAII FIVE-0 this fall. Actor Greg Grunberg will play an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent based out of Honolulu whose team’s primary functions are the survey of items smuggled into the region and all Homeland Security threats.
According to TV Line, Grunberg’s character “has worked with Five-0 team member Lori Weston (played Lauren German) on Homeland Security issues before, so he is aware of the task force and their successful and unorthodox ways of handling cases,” states executive producer Peter M. Lenkov. He continues with, “his first exposure to working directly with Five-0 is when the team handles the murder investigation of an ICE Agent under command”. And, of course, where there is a body, there is Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka, Grunberg’s Heroes co-star).
As most TV watchers know by now, Lost alum Terry O’Quinn will be appearing in Hawaii Five-0 alongside his former co-star Daniel Dae Kim.
Most recently Grunberg appeared in the short-lived NBC series Love Bites.
Hawaii Five-0 returns for its second season on September 19, at 10/9c. Grunberg’s episode is expected to air in November with the possibility of the role becoming a recurring one.
