SUITS (USA) “Undefeated” Review

Suits (USA) Undefeated

SUITS (USA) “Undefeated” Episode 9 – Okay so I know that everyone is going to say that in tonight’s episode Harvey “met his match”, and while I mostly agree with that, I don’t completely agree with it. I like to think that Tanner is the dirtier version if Harvey. As much as Harvey can be a bastard, there are lines that he won’t cross and tonight I was very happy to see where he draws them.

It was that line in fact, which made it possible for Harvey to finally get the upper hand on Tanner. The entire episode Harvey knew what Tanner was going to do, seemingly before the man himself did, but he still could never get ahead in their little game. It wasn’t until Mike gave him a great piece of advice that Harvey finally turned things around and I love the fact that the way he finally beat Tanner was by not being as dirty and conniving as Tanner thought he could be. Harvey won by being the better man and you can’t ask for anything much cooler than that.

Meanwhile there’s a traitor in the midst at Pearson Hardman and at one point or another Mike, Rachel and even Louis get set up as part of the crime and/or false accusation. I knew that Rachel didn’t do it and I also knew that Louis didn’t either and I was just happy when Mike finally found out who actually did.

My favorite bits..

“I’m going to apologize for my lithe physique.”

Okay I have to admit it. I may be a straight female but I was totally checking out Rachel’s butt after she said she wasn’t wearing any underwear. Is that weird?

The client asking how long Rachel and Mike had been dating. Ha!

*facepalm* It was killing me, but I finally figured out who is playing Tanner. Eric Close from Chaos! I loved that show and I’m still pissed it got cancelled. So happy to see him guesting on a show as great as this one.

“What’s so funny?”
“I’m just thinking about how I’m gonna enjoy kicking your ass.”

Mike freaking out when he realized he really did have Michael Jordan on Harvey’s phone. Haha!

“He sounds like Bush, but he looks just like Chaney.”

Harvey offering to get Tanner’s autograph for Mike.

Donna referring to Tanner as “that tennis playing douchebag”.

“Wow, I really wish you weren’t touching me right now.”

“You know, you could just pay me out in public.”
“But then I wouldn’t feel like James Bond.”

Oh come now, Mike is really surprised that the firm has an IT department?

Shaking my head at Mike’s Terminator impression. Yeah that was pretty bad.

“Where do you guys keep the Cylons?”

Ben trying to invoke an IT Officer/Client privilege. Ha.

The fact that they didn’t even have to show us Mike rattling off those numbers. I mean of course we knew that he was going to pull it off.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! That was too much for my poor brain to compute in less that one minute. Louis supposedly used Rachel’s code? Rachel interviewing for a job at Wakefield-Cady?

Wow, Tanner is the biggest prick ever – tricking Harvey into showing up so that he could conveniently talk (loudly) to him in front of all of his clients.

Harvey calling Tanner. Nice!

“You can have my faith, but you’re not getting my money.”

Thinking that Rachel has a point, it kind of sucks that no one else at the firm except Mike and Donna seem to care about her.

Sorry, but I’m not buying that it was Louis. Maybe I’m biased because I dig him so much, but I don’t think he’d do something like that. I just don’t see the point.

Harvey refusing to commit perjury to win a case. Yes! I knew he wouldn’t stoop to Tanner’s level.

Yes! Donna agrees with me about Louis. Love her more now.

Mike telling Harvey to think about what he wouldn’t do, in order to beat Tanner. Brilliant.

Aha! I was totally suspecting that it was Jimmy.

Whew! For a minute there I really thought that Harvey was willing to perjure himself. So glad my assumption about him was right.

“Okay maybe a little happy.” – OMG I love that little grin of his.

Rachel getting a very, VERY reluctant “I’m sorry” out of Louis. Loved them both in that scene.

What did you think of this episode of Suits? Got any favorite bits or least favorite bits of your own? I’d love to hear from you!

I was really annoyed when it turned out to be Jimmy because it was predictable. Pooch Hall has his own show so the only reason he would be on here is to be the bad guy. I hate it when shows hire a famous/recognizable person as the bad guy. It’s so obvious.

Oh wow, I had no idea who that actor was. I guess that’s why I didn’t catch on quite as fast. LOL.

I agree! I love Harvey and Donna too. Hmm….interesting thought about them hooking up. A part of me wonders if maybe they already have in the past.
