PRETTY LITTLE LIARS “Save the Date” Review

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS Save The Date

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS “Save the Date” Season 2 Episode 8 – On this week’s PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, one liar lands in the hospital, two liars pretend to be candy stripers, and the fourth liar has her heart broken, again, by her father. Just another day in Rosewood. Let’s take it character by character, shall we?

Emily – The commenter who predicted that A was poisoning Emily was right on. A little growth hormone in your Icy Hot and the next thing you know, you are accused of taking steroids and all your dreams are shattered. Good thing Emily’s dad flew all the way back from Texas to take care of the renter’s alarm issues. Isn’t it also convenient that just as Emily was going to tell him about the Danby faux letter, her father decided to tell her she can pretty much give up swimming if it makes her happy? What I was unclear about was whether making her happy meant staying in Rosewood if there is no swmming scholarship. What do you think?

Aria – Not much going on with her this week aside from Ezra being jealous of Jason which, judging from next week’s preview, might have actually planted the idea of Jason and Aria together in Aria’s head. You all know I am rooting for them. Aria’s brother is a jerk and his implying that he broke into homes because his mother left them is rather weak.

Spencer – Wren is back and working at the hospital which is good since Spencer needs a bunch of medical questions answered to figure out what the heck happened to Allison. I do not think it was surprising that a blunt object was used or that Allison was hit from behind, however, I thought it was quite shocking that Allison was buried alive. Did the killer know?

Hanna – Nothing like your wedding invitation showing up at your ex-wife’s house the morning after you sleep over to ruin a mood. I think Hanna got her hopes up way too much for this fantasy reunion. I don’t think Hanna’s mother ever really thought it was anything more, but was just going along with the feel good moments. As for Caleb, I bet that the man following him was a private investigator on behalf of his real parents and now, thanks to Hanna, they will not try to find him. How do you think Caleb will react if he ever finds out that Hanna destroyed his shot at a real family?

Other characters of note are Jenna and Garrett. Who turns on a light, open the curtains and then stands right in front of the window when they are about to have sex? More importantly, what do Jenna and Garrett know about Allison’s murder other than the fact that Ian did not do it? They are the key to breaking this thing wide open, don’t you think?

I liked this episode of Pretty Little Liars. It wasn’t too heavily Allison or “A” focused, but it did not entirely avoid the subject either. I thought the actual tube of cream on Emily’s food was a bit much. The note was clear enough. There were a few lines I loved. The first one was from Wren who after asking Spencer out for coffee only for her to say she had a boyfriend, quickly fired back with “Okay then, how about tea?” I also loved when Caleb upon seeing Hanna in her scarf and sunglasses said “I thought you were going to the movies? Or we can just be in one.”

What did you think of this episode of Pretty Little Liars? Did you learn anything in this episode that makes you think a particular person killed Allison? What do you think A plans on doing to the girls and why does Emily think Aria’s next? Tell me your consipracy theories down below.
