The Being Human panel at Comic-Con 2011 included Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington, and executive producers Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke.
Here are some highlights from the panel:
- The panel started with a whole conversation of them joking about “the first time they had sex together.”
- This season they are going in a different direction than the original UK version of the show.
- This season Josh is more in tune to what he is and has accepted himself a little more.
- This new season Aidan has to participate and take care of some stuff in the vampire world in a way that he might not be prepared for.
- “The scripts this year are incredible.” -Sam Witwer (Note: They have read 4 episodes so far.)
- They will be exploring different sides of the ghost characters this season.
- “Josh is much more like the House mom.” -Sam Huntington
- In the first episode, Aidan kills a girl.
- A big change this season, they characters are more open with each other. Aidan is trying to be more open with his roommates, but it’s not something he’s used to doing.
- “He wears underwear this year, he didn’t do that last year.” -Sam Witwer joking about Aidan’s changes this new season.
- “We cost Syfy money because of this shit!” -Sam Huntington on Sam Witwer and Meaghan Rath fun exchange (see video below)
- The theme for season 2 is: “The harder you try to become human, the more you become a monster.”
- In Season 2, they are exploring different factions of monsters.
- Sam Huntington shared that his screaming during werewolves transformations is ruining his voice. Now he needs days to recuperate.
