Even thought THE EVENT has been cancelled by NBC, all hope is not lost for fans of the show.
According to Deadline, Syfy is currently in talks to pick up the show as a miniseries. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Syfy finds the solution financially feasible and beneficial.
On the other hand, should the deal go through and the miniseries prove successful, it could open the door to another season of the series.
