Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) has signed on as lead in NBC’s untitled pilot from creator Kari Lizer (New Adventures of Old Christine). As reported by TVLine.com, the project is a workplace comedy that “revolves around Mary Leahy (Paulson), a relationship-challenged woman who, with the help of her co-workers, guides people through unexpected career transitions. Pasdar will play Brad, a super confident guy who has drunk sex with Mary in a bar bathroom. After seeing how charming he is, Mary and her partner ask him to join their company.”
Pasdar has previously co-starred in Judging Amy and had a recurring role in Desperate Housewives. Most recently he appeared in ABC’s Castle. This untitled pilot from NBC will be Pasdar’s first series regular stint in a half-hour comedy.
Off the record: I embarrassingly admit that in my mind Adrian Pasdar has always been the actor from the Hallmark Movie Channel movie A Mother’s Gift and from an episode of the TV show Touched by an Angel. The two-part episode was “The Spirit of Liberty Moon,” in case you were wondering. Needless to say, he has never been a must-watch actor for me. And looking through his extensive career profile, I can barely recall Pasdar’s two other starring roles on Profit and Mysterious Ways. Someone enlighten me, please.
