Dave Foley, Chi McBride, and Michael Trucco are set to guest star on CBS’ HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.
As reported by Zap2it.com, Foley (Kids in the Hall) will play a prospective new boss for Marshall (Jason Segel), who interviews at the best New York environmental law firm with Foley’s character, Mr. Bloom. Zap2it.com also reveals seeing Chi McBride (Human Target) filming the May 16 finale of How I Met Your Mother. McBride will play Rod, a construction foreman on the Goliath National Bank headquarters building project, which was designed by Ted (Josh Radnor). Their relationship is not all smooth sailing.
While only scheduled to appear in one episode, Zap2it.com suggests that Mr. Bloom and Rod’s connection with Marshall and Ted (and their professional lives), two of the show’s major characters, leaves the door open for involvement in future season 7 episodes.
As for the gang’s personal lives, the time for the mystery wedding approaches. They will soon be joined by a potential love interest for Robin (Cobie Smulders) in the penultimate April 18 episode of How I Met Your Mother. According to TVGuide.com, Michael Trucco (Fairly Legal, Battlestar Galactica) finally gives physical form to Robin’s crush; his role is known only as “Crush.” But Trucco is expected to return next season, and will be a prominent figure in Robin’s future.
