Episode Synopsis:UNITED STATES OF TARA “youwillnotwin” Season 3 Episode 1 – In the Season 3 premiere, Tara decides to finish the last few credits she needs to earn her college degree, but Max worries the stress will trigger a transition to one of her alters; Kate tries to plan the next phase of her life; Charmaine is pregnant but still avoids committing to Neil; Marshall and Lionel purchase a video camera together for filmmaking class.
Show Summary: UNITED STATES OF TARA – Meet Tara Gregson – just your average wife and mother of two. But something sets Tara apart from the rest of the booster club moms in her suburban neighborhood. Tara suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), which results in the appearance of several eccentric alternate personalities at the most inopportune of times. There is the wild and flirty “T,” the 1950s Betty Crocker housewife Alice, and beer guzzling Vietnam vet Buck.
Determined to uncover the true origins of her DID, Tara took a break from her medication last season — leading to the return of past personalities, as well as some new surprises along the way. The more Tara learns about the source of her disorder, the more her family’s world starts to unravel. Will Tara be able to unlock her mind’s deepest secrets?
