Wow, the cast for the upcoming Hollywood episode of CASTLE just keeps getting better and better. First up, I reported that Prison Break‘s Dominic Purcell had signed on, and then I got news that Off The Map‘s Jason George was along for the ride, too.
Now, TVGuide.com reports that one of my favorite actors, D. B. Sweeney will be making a guest appearance in the episode as well.
The episode takes place in Los Angeles when, after Beckett’s former partner is killed, she and Castle head to Tinsel Town to investigate. The visit also gives the pair the opportunity to visit the set of Castle’s book that’s being made into a movie, Heat Wave.
Sweeney is set to play the role of Detective Kyle Seeger, a Los Angeles cop with Robbery Homicide, who questions Castle and Beckett about their rogue investigation.
Meanwhile George will play an entrepreneur who crosses paths with the duo, while Purcell will appear as a Hollywood businessman.
I have been in love with D.B. Sweeney for a very long time. Ever since I first saw him play a hockey player who strapped on figure skates in a little movie called The Cutting Edge. Recently he’s probably best known for his multi-episode stint on NBC’s The Event. I just saw him this week’s episode of Hawaii Five-0 and just as I was wondering what was up for him next, I got the news about Castle.
