if that didnt move you ; nothing would !!Marc is a great person, hard to believe he is rich….I cried so hard & thought when the woman on the dialisis machine was talking… made me think… here Iam with no job, I dont have it so bad !! It really moved me !! I might get out & volunteer !! thanks Marc!! Ive felt so sorry for myself ever since my wife passed , I have a daughter also, Life has been hard since she left !!but were doing better than some !! Allen Dixon, Bristol Tenn

It certainly moved me as well. Marc is a beautiful individual inside and out. There is no greater gift to the world than the gift of yourself. Marc gave of himself to these people who needed support and help and in turn they are paying it forward with all the other people they help. We need more people in the world like Marc. It isn’t about the money, it could be time, with an organization or just giving a little piece of yourself to someone who is less fortunate than yourself. God bless you Marc, you warmed my heart!!!!

this episode hits home as my fiance’s transplant failed last year and we are now doing home hemo dialysis which requires us to be at home and do dialysis 6 nights a week it’s depressing and a challange as I also work full time out of the home at a local nursing home. I still have a 15 year old at home of whom needs to have jaw surgery this summer and has problems with her right leg. Then after having my annual mamogram done this might was told they found a mass so next week I will have more testing there’s always trials in are lives but we are blessed to have each other and our daughter

I believe that giving Courtney and her daughter that money will affect their ability to receive assistance from the State. I don’t know that they are receiving Medicaid or any other help, but if they are, they will lose those benefits.

That was an awesome episode. I loved Dani last week, but Marc was so great!! I loved how Courtney was so shocked…and thankful. I am hooked and inspired by this show and have plans to do more in my own community…no, I am not by any means, a millionaire, but I have two hands, two feet, etc…and a heart of gold (so I think) and I would like to share my time and energy with other. Thank you ABC for giving me some TV worth watching!!

Marc’s story was extremely moving. Not only did he give back to the community but he completely understood the need. I recommend many people to take this journey. Life isn’t what you make of it. IT’S WHAT YOU GIVE BACK. That’s what life is truly all about.

    Great work Marc!

Something good came from Marcs’ loss. There are so many with real needs, we all must help.
He found a way to do just that. Most of my time is given to our local 4-H program. As with all programs, funds have been cut. Volunteers are needed more than ever, the goal this year, is recruiting volunteers from the community to assist with those much needed programs.
Having lost my spouse, I found giving to others helped me, much more than I helped them! Some can give time, while others could give financial help. It is rewarding to see that happen. Your program should touch anyone who watches it. Keep up the good work and again I commend Marc and others for caring. After this episode I hope everyone wants to get involved in their community!

    Mr. Paskin,
May God Bless you. You are a wonderful person. I am a married 37 year old women who has never been close to my dad. If ever I asked him to borrow $5.00 dollars, he was always looking for it right back. He is not rich but he is well off and is stingy with his money. My husband and I have 3 beautiful children but it sometimes gets hard. We live week to week. And I watch my dad take continuous trips to the racino to throw away his money. It saddens me. If only he had an ounce of your goodness.

I respectfully don’t agree with you people. If you are going to be on tv as a multi millionnaire giving money then give money. 10 thousands is not enough. People with millions in the bank make thousands and thousands in interest and sometimes don’t even pay taxes on some of that money. It was a great thing that he gave money, but it was disrespectful to give so little when the show is about him giving money. If he just gave, in privacy, that’s one thing. But he had A TV SHOW about him giving. That is different and I felt like I was taken for a ride, as I sat there and listen for an hour (half of it commercials) Come on people! The girl he was helping tonight had no kidneys, her daughter had a colostomy at birth and was living with the grandparents. This woman was in trouble. It seems that she didn’t have enough for education or have a car and couldn’t live with her daughter, she also had to go to the hospital 4 times a week. If a had millions and two house on the beach and three cars and went on a show to give money, I would have bought her a little house near her parents so she could have visited with her daughter, and a car so she could have gone to the hospital and maybe also a vacation. Whatever, He gave her 20 thousands. I think if you are going to be on TV, showing the world you are this great guy giving to the poor then…give! And giving her 200 thousands would have been much better…

it’s not about how much he gave but the fact that he learned life lessons himself and giving. If you paid attention the people were glad for what money that received and it was their choice in how they spent it. I watch my fiance go through dialysis and maybe the mother doesn’t want her daughter to see the day to day depression that it causes. Until you’ve been in someone else’s shoes you nor I can judge…. to me it’s a blessing that he gave the amounts he did as he didn’t have to give at all and also it may be that he wasn’t allowed by the television show to give more than he gave.

It makes me really sad for you to read your post. You obviously don’t get it.

I just watched Secret Millionaire for the first time and it just melted my heart to see Marc help out so many people. He gets it. He really gets it and I cried when I saw his donations and was so moved by his generosity. I cried for the recipients and am so happy for all of them. They are all very deserving. Bless you Marc!!!

  • BEOWEEP

  • AnnDriod

Great show, I’ve watched both episodes and love seeing the good that people do.

  • Sandyrose26

This show is so emotional for me – but I enjoyed watching Marc give money to the people who so needed it. It changes their lives and also the life of the person giving it. Thanks Marc for your generosity – hopefully people watching will volunteer their time and also give to people who are struggling. Lots of people in need. Sandy in Oxnard, CA

Marc is a very generous man and is willing to share some of his wealth with people who could really do something good with it, something to benefit others instead of just themselves. Bravo! However, the film footage ABC focused on had to be one of the worst sections of Detroit and the commentary at the beginning of the show mentioned that Detroit has a murder every day — that’s just NOT TRUE! Yes, Detroit and all of SE Michigan is suffering because of the economy (not to mention corruption in their city government), but why should ABC cash in on it? There are some wonderful things going on in Detroit AND wonderful people who live there. Please don’t trash it!

It seems that they always pick a nonwhite persons to help . Why is this? There are plenty on poor whites in this country. Why not help your countrymen?
