Just because Laura Prepon (That 70s Show) will be playing Chelsea Handler in the NBC pilot ARE YOU THERE, VODKA? IT’S ME, CHELSEA, doesn’t mean Handler can’t still be in the show based on her autobiography. E! Online reports that she has signed on to play her own older sister in the pilot.
Prepon told E! she thinks she and Handler will be a good match as sisters. She said,
“I’m from Jersey. Chelsea and I are similar, so it’s perfect we play sisters. It’s funny, because her vodka is my favorite vodka too. We both drink the same thing”
Also joining the cast will be Filipino American standup comedian Joy Koy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Koy will play a bartender at the club where Prepon’s Handler works as a waitress.
