Minnie Driver is going to give series television another try. The actress has signed on to star in the CBS drama pilot HAIL MARY.
Driver will play a single mother and private investigator who solves suburban crimes by teaming up with a street-smart hustler. The hustler role has not yet been cast.
Still mostly known for her film work (she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ‘Good Will Hunting’), Driver starred in FX’s The Riches and appeared in an episode of Modern Family last season.
Ilene Chaiken (The L Word) will serve as executive producer/showrunner. Joel Silver and Jeff Wadlow are also on board as executive producers.
