James Tupper Returns to GREY’S ANATOMY

James Tupper

Guess what, GREYS ANATOMY fans! Looks like James Tupper is returning to the show.

According to EW’s Inside TV, the actor is set to return to the ABC drama for a multi-episodic arc. The former Men in Trees and Mercy star turned heads at the start of this season when he played Dr. Andrew Perkins, a psychologist who was brought in to perform evaluations on the residents after last season’s mass shooting. He also hooked up with Kim Raver’s Dr. Teddy while he was there.

Tupper will appear in three episodes toward the end of this season and if he once again receives a strong reaction from fans . who knows? We might just see him again in the future.

Grey’s is known for picking up actors as series regulars after trying them out in guest roles. Eric Dane is one example, famously being added to the cast after he was only supposed to appear in one episode. Interestingly enough, when Tupper was on Trees, ABC fans gave the actor a Grey’s nickname, “McTreemy.” Could it be fate? I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
