According to TVGuide.com, Aussie actress Rachael Taylor (The Transformers) has been cast in GREY’S ANATOMY and might end up being a love interest for Karev.
The actress makes her visit to Seattle Grace as Dr. Lucy Fields, who is reportedly a major character’s obstetrician. Considering the jaw-dropping announcement that Callie made in the last episode, my money’s on her as the patient Dr. Fields, but we’ll have to wait and see. It’s also being reported that many of her scenes are with the hospital’s resident bad boy.
Says Taylor about her co-star:
“I’m working with Justin Chambers a lot. Justin’s hilarious. He has a wicked sense of humor.”
Reportedly Taylor’s been pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome she’s received from the cast on the ABC medical drama.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect from the cast, but they can’t have been more gracious or welcoming. Ellen Pompeo is like the sweetest woman in the world – she’s so delightful. Patrick is a gentleman. They’ve all been wonderful. And it’s really impressive as well that seven years on they show up, know their lines, put in great performances and also have the energy to welcome a newbie like me. I didn’t expect it.”
Regarding any possible hook-ups between her character and Karev, Taylor plays coy, saying she gets her scripts a week before she shoots.
Taylor teases:
“I don’t know. There’s been no steam yet, I don’t think…… Depends what you call steam.”
Personally I think it would be great to see Karev hook-up with someone where he could have a fairly normal relationship. You know, one that doesn’t end in either party crying, but then again this IS Grey’s Anatomy so that’s probably not realistic.
