FRINGE has been switching between our universe and the alternate one this season, but it has a bigger switch coming in January when it moves to Friday nights. Fringe will air on FOX Fridays at 9pm eastern/8 central beginning January 21.
The good news is that with that move comes six all-new episodes in a row, beginning with the mid-season premiere “Firefly,” in which an Observer will contact the Fringe team to rectify a mistake and Walter will befriend one of his musical heroes (guest star Christopher Lloyd).
The bad news is that tonight’s (Thursday, December 9) episode, “Marionette,” which has the team investigating a case where a victim had his heart extracted and Peter coming to terms with the reality of his relationship with Olivia, is the last new episode until January 21.
To take the sting out of the coming hiatus, there will be a “Tweet-Along” event during the “Marionette” episode with John Noble (Walter) tweeting live. For more information, visit Fringe Tweet. Follow John on Twitter @LabDad1 and use #FringeLiveTweet to submit your questions directly to him on Thursday.
Fringe is having a great year story-wise, but its ratings are lacking, so please make sure to watch or set those DVRs for the schedule change. This is too good a show to lose.
Watch Fringe on FOX tonight, December 9, at 9pm eastern/8pm central. Beginning January 21, Fringe will air Fridays at 9pm eastern/8pm central.
