Michael J. Fox Returns to THE GOOD WIFE

Michael J Fox

Fan favorite Michael J. Fox is set to return to THE GOOD WIFE, EW.com is reporting.

Fox appeared in a recent episode of the hit series playing Louis Canning, a ruthless lawyer pitted against The Good Wife‘s title character, Alicia Florrick. Fox’s performance went down so well that he was immediately asked back by the shows creators.

Robert and Michelle King told EW: “As soon as we saw the dailies of Michael playing Louis Canning, we started pleading with him to return. Luckily he agreed. He’s amazing in this role: unpretentiously brave and funny. It’s good to have him back.”

Fox left his last starring role on ABC’s Spin City in 2000, two years after announcing that he had Parkinson’s disease. He has since appeared in recurring roles on Boston Legal and Rescue Me, as well as continuing to do voice-work for TV and movies.

Fox will next appear in episode 13, due to air in early 2011. The Good Wife airs Tuesdays 10pm ET/PT on CBS.
