The Boxee Box is one of the latest tools that allow individuals to cut the cord with the cable company, and stream media directly to their televisions from the internet. The new box was designed with an Intel Atom processor on the inside and 1GB of RAM which will allow it to produce 5.1 surround sound and HD quality pictures up to 1080p. Other features include the ability to play all manner of files found on your home network via Ethernet, WiFi, or USB connection. The Boxee crew also landed major partners in Netflix and Hulu Plus, with both services available to Boxee Box customers.
The unit will be sold for $199 at many retail locations. In addition to impressive service partners, Boxee has compiled an impressive list of retailers to sell their product including Target, Wal-Mart, and Amazon.
