COUGAR TOWN “When the Time Comes” Review Season 2 Episode 9 – It is Thanksgiving and Jules wants to make it a romantic one after she blurts out “I love you” to Grayson in the grocery store and he…thanks her.

It is a little awkward to tell someone that you love them only to be met with a “thank you” in return. Not that I would know about that personally or anything. However, as Grayson finally admits at the end, everyone moves at different paces, but that doesn’t mean they feel any less for you. After all, coming to Thanksgiving dinner when you have been poisoned and the thought of having food might send you running back to the bathroom is probably the biggest way of showing someone you love them even if you cannot say it. I liked how even Andy, who spent the whole episode being extremely optimistic, told Jules to just let it ride with Grayson.

I loved the addition of Travis’ roommate, Kevin, this episode. He was quite the match for mumbling Bobby. I would have to agree that Bobby articulating his words sounded extremely strange. I would rather understand only half of what he says than listen to him struggle to enunciate and speak clearly. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I even realized how little of his words I understood until this episode. Obviously they made him speak even more unclear, but even so, I think I miss a lot. As Travis said, though, I get the tone.

The highlights, for me, of this week’s epsiode of Cougar Town were:

Ellie telling Laurie that her life is so dumb.

Andy’s head being filled with reggae music. I want my head to be filled with reggae music!

Jules calling Travis tiny dancer after hearing that he and his girlfriend video dance.

The fact that Travis and his girlfriend video dance via Skype or iChat.

The fact that Ellie and Andy have “too legit to quit” engraved on their wedding rings.

The fact that the inscription was Ellie’s idea.

“I married a Care Bear”

Jules and Grayson holding hands while puking. Maybe Thanksgiving is a sexy holiday after all.
