FOX Orders Christian Slater Comedy BREAKING IN

Christian Slater

FOX has ordered seven episodes of new comedy BREAKING IN, starring Christian Slater, to air at midseason. Deadline reports that the single camera comedy set in a high tech security firm that goes to extreme lengths to sell its products will premiere Wednesday, April 6.

Brett Harrison (Reaper) also stars in the show, which was originally developed during last year’s pilot season. The pilot was written by Adam F. Goldberg (Fanboys) and directed by Seth Gordon (Four Christmases) with both men executive producing. Though that pilot wasn’t picked up, FOX did request two extra scripts last June, keeping the show alive. Sony extended its options on the cast, thus ensuring their availability now.

Christian Slater is hoping the third time (and first comedy) is the charm: he recently starred in NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy and ABC’s The Forgotten, both of which fizzled.

This sounds awesome. I’ve always really liked Christian Slater and thought he was funny, but his last two TV series were just NOT good. Hopefully this will be a success, and I really enjoy Bret Harrison as well…I thought he was really funny in The Loop and Reaper was a great show. As a DISH employee/customer I use the Logitech Revue with Google TV and had just caught True Romance on one of my movie channels…from there I searched out Christian Slater online to see what else he had in the works, and it lead me here! Love my Google TV! Sure hope this new show is as good as Slater really is.
