MEDIUM Cancelled

MEDIUM "Season 7 Episode 2"

It’s official: not only will this be a shortened season for MEDIUM, but it will in fact be the CBS drama’s last. After over 125 episodes in a seven season run split between two networks, CBS has cancelled Medium.

Series creator Glen Gordon Caron posted this message for fans on Medium‘s Facebook page yesterday: “Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”

It may be small comfort to fans, but it does sound like Caron and the rest of the Medium team were given enough notice to be able to properly wrap up the show.

Medium will continue to air on CBS Fridays at 8pm/7 central until its finale January 21.

Medium fans: how disappointed are you by this news? Any specific hopes for how the show will end?

I knew deep down that this was coming. It’s still a huge bummer though.I will miss these characters a lot!
I read somewhere that the real Allison Dubois said that the show would run for seven seasons.Hmmm..
It was a great show with great actors and writing. I hope to see all of them in something else as good in the future.

I am really saddened to hear that “Medium” has been cancelled. It is one of the best dramas on TV today but in light of the many poor decisions that the TV moguls have made over the last few years, it really doesn’t surprise me. The decision is right in line with the continued dumming up of America. They continue to give us what I call “Stupid (Stoopid) TV” for non-thinkers. Too many lame comedies and reality shows. Quality shows on the networks are going by the wayside. That’s why I mostly watch TNT, A&E, USA, AMC, etc for quality drama and programming–great writing, etc. Networks for the most part suck any more as they only cater to the dim witted poorly educated under average Joes that enjoy the Leno type humor that is shoved down our throats. Thank goodness for cable.

This is absolutely awful news! When I heard the season had been shortened, I expected this to happen, but I still had hope for the show. Well, I’m anticipating an amazing finale.

Totally depressed that Medium will now be gone. Very depressed all month. I’ll miss the Dubois like crazy.
Guess that is what you get for loving something temporary.
I’ve turned into a hater. CBS, I SeeBS

I am very disappointed. After NBC put all their eggs in their Leno basket, I saw the glimmer of hope with CBS. They first cancelled Ghost Whisperer and now their are cancelling Medium. I love this show! I guess I’ll have to find my ghostly shows elsewhere. I wish cable would pick up both of the shows. I’ll miss Medium. Thank you for the last 7 years.

Know more reasons to watch CBS!!!!!

How typical for major TV networks to take something that has been “tried and true” for seven years; is still thought provoking and well written and acted…….. and cancel it. We don’t want to have too many loyal followers… do we, CBS!!! My opinion: it’s a BIG MISTAKE. I have no reason to be watching CBS on Fridays at 8 any more.

I am extremely disappointed that this series has ended. We just watched the final episode, not knowing in advance that it was the final one, and were shocked. It was such a sad ending for a show we enjoyed watching every week. Great acting and the portrayal of a great family. Please reconsider.
