The Big Bang Theory is getting another female regular, according to Ausiello. Blossom star Mayim Bialik has been made a series regular, just weeks after Melissa Rauch (Howard’s girlfriend ‘Bernadette’) was given the same promotion.
Bialik plays Amy Farrah Fowler, the ‘girl who’s a friend, not a girlfriend’ of main character Sheldon Cooper. Part female-Sheldon, part Sheldon’s foil, Amy has appeared in five episodes to date. The deal currently only lasts for season 4 and does not require Bialik to be in all episodes.
