Good news for fans of the HBO comedies EASTBOUND & DOWN and BORED TO DEATH. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network has renewed both shows for a third season. It’s unknown at this time how many episodes will actually be ordered.
HBO is clearly happy with its current Sunday night line-up. It was previously announced new drama Boardwalk Empire was renewed for a second season.
Eastbound & Down follows the misadventures of a former baseball player (Danny McBride) while Bored to Death focuses on a struggling writer (Jason Schwartzman) who moonlights as a private investigator. Both shows are currently in the middle of their second seasons.
