Someone in the CBI might be in trouble because THE MENTALIST has cast the head of internal affairs.
According to TV Guide, Pruitt Taylor Vince (Deadwood) will recur on the CBS drama as Agent J. J. Laroche, who will be investigating the team because of something that happens at the end of the November 18 “Red Moon” episode. Vince will first appear on December 9 and is expected to be in five or six episodes.
Laroche is described as “quirky, charmless, professional, socially awkward and Patrick Jane’s intellectual equal.” One of Laroche’s quirks will be that he suffers from nystagmus, which causes his eyes to involuntarily move around. He is expected to be a rival for Jane.
