NCIS: LOS ANGELES “Anonymous” Season 2 Episode 7 – Okay so I know that most people had the same reaction that Kensi and Deeks did when it came out in this episode that Sam has kids. Me on the other hand, I pretty much had Callen’s reaction as I heard that bit of info a while ago and have just been waiting for them to reveal it on the show. But now I’m wondering what happened to their mother. Sam told Callen that he had more in common with the doctor’s wife than anyone else, so was that just because of the fact that she was expecting her first child or because her husband had just died? Sam didn’t mention a wife so I’m wondering if maybe she passed away.
I like how they just dropped this on us after a full season, especially knowing that they’ve been planning on it for a while. I also like that there’s still a lot of mystery there since we don’t know the whole story and have yet to even find out how many kids he has. All we know for sure is that he has one girl. This is giving Sam a very nice backstory, which goes well with Callen’s mysterious backstory.
The only other thing I have to say after watching this episode is that I hope Deeks doesn’t simply become nothing but a clown on the show. We’re already seeing that with Tony on the original NCIS and it’s starting to get a little annoying, especially for us Tony fans. Though I took it as a good sign when Deeks backed up Callen and then turned off the tanks, so maybe they’ll keep his character a little more balanced.
Now onto my favorite bits..
Sam wondering how Callen could not be taking sides if he was coaching Kensi. Hm, good point.
Deeks asking if they were training for pirate-fest. LOL.
Deeks faking getting shocked and scaring the crap outta Kensi.
Deeks wondering why in the world Kensi would need to hotwire a Cessna. Seriously? He’s surprised by that? Actually I’d be more surprised if she *hadn’t* done something like that.
Kensi telling Deeks that their cover included him being in a boy band.. until he flipped it on her and introduced her as the patient and proceeded to detail every little part that needed “work”. I so would have punched him after that, too.
Deeks getting “peppered”after walking into a girl’s locker room and the pathetic way he called Kensi’s name as security led him away. OMG what a dork.
Eric using a conch shell horn to call the team. Oh man, if that’s his idea of “mixing it up” I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Hetty coming in and breaking up the spat between Eric and Nell.
The team’s reaction (other than Callen of course) to finding out that Sam has kids.
Really wishing I’d had an “Eric” a few months ago when my friends and I got utterly lost on the Queen Mary while my friends and I were on a ghost hunt.
Hetty shutting down the boys’ plans to go out in their suits. Aw, poor boys.
