The “Cracked” episode was ground breaking for a TV series, but the concept of biofuel from bacteria has been actively researched for years. Bacterial does not process CO2 which makes it less attractive than micro algae. This aspect was mentioned in the script, but not well explained or explored.

If NCIS really wanted to make a statement, replace all of the NCIS Staff cars with advanced diesel engine vehicles. Put them into the new Jeep Wrangler diesels and make a point of burning at least B30. That could make a huge positive difference in Chrysler’s bottomline and educated the masses as to the true future of transportation.
