OUTLAW Cancelled

Jimmy Smits (Outlaw)

The fall casualties are beginning to pile up, as NBC’s legal drama OUTLAW has become the latest new series to be cancelled.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the low-rated procedural starring Jimmy Smits, which had already been placed on production hiatus, will be replaced by an additional hour of Dateline. The remaining four episodes of Outlaw will air Saturdays at 8pm/7 central.

This news isn’t a surprise given that while Outlaw did well in its special Wednesday debut, its ratings have steadily dropped since moving to its regular Friday night slot.

Are you upset at Outlaw‘s cancellation? What do you think Jimmy Smits should do next? Let us know in the comments.

After my husband showed this TV show I have been hooked. I really love it and I think the actors are great! I know that my husband and I would be sad to see it go. I think it should be given more advertisement. I never see it advertised anywhere. I hope things work out and God Bless you all!

Very upset loved the show. Jimmy is a very talented actor. First Cane which was the best show to come along in a long time now outlaw, but you keep all the no brainer reality shows and stupid sitcoms WHY?

Outlaw was a great show and Jimmy Smits has never gotten the recognition he deserves. The premise of the show was interesting and thought-provoking and having Smits character flawed (gambling problem) made it believable and relevant.
