I LOVE Family Guy……… Aaaaand I have “weaved” SLIGHTLY more… to the *shudder* right in my middle years, but what the %$#& was the point of the Rush Limbaugh episode…? Frankly, I found it sickening that Brian would so completely flip-flop so easily and even towards the middle of the show where its obvious that the right is poking fun at itself for once, for some reason that I still haven’t reconciled, the whole show left me with a bad taste in my mouth. And its frustrating that at the end, when Brian sling shots back to normal and he and Rush start insulting each other, while Rush symbolized the far right, Brian symbolized the far left (The point being that Rush brought up how he’s “Godless” {Brian’s an Atheist and symbolizes the far left attitude on the show}; basically meaning that all Lefties are atheists, religious “heathens” or spiritual-less. I am by no stretch of the imagination a Christian, but I do strongly believe in God (As {and I hate saying this, but…} more of a kind of “force” than a humanized “being”…). I don’t know, maybe I’m being too sensitive, but I was left with a “WTF” feeling at the end. I’m going to watch it again tomorrow and maybe I’ll get a better feel for whatever they were trying to say. If it has anything to do with the fact that both sides have faults and can (and should) be made fun of, then I’m all for that. It just seemed like it lacked a coherent point (Other than not being a “contrarian” (you learn something new every day. I didn’t even know there was a term for that…). Also, when a Righty of that stature makes fun of himself and his beliefs That Much, you’ve got to wonder why he did it. Was he REALLY just poking fun at himself with all the over the top, “Extreme Right” examples…? Thats kind of like the biggest “stud” you know who’s opinion of himself is a lazy stone’s throw from the right hand of God making fun of the size of his own penis while he’s in the middle of banging someone… The only thing I have left to say about this whole thing is: “These kids today with their hair and their clothes…; I don’t get it…” (Did that sound Too Old…? Oh well…) ‘Nuff Said…
