AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL’s fourth episode, “Matthew Rolston” found the models handling roller coasters, sea creatures and tea parties.
Kacey plans a barbeque and invites the male models from the week before. Wow these girls are people persons. Meanwhile Rhiannon is feeling pressure from Ann, who is currently ruling the competition.
The challenge is a photo shoot on a roller coaster. The prize is a photo shoot with Tyra and the photo will show on her website. Liz is the winner, and she gets to pick two friends: Chris and Kayla. After the photo shoot all four had tea. At least they talked. Unlike the barbeque party.
At the house, Lexie tells Kacey that she has not liked her for weeks, and then one by one the other models tell her they dislike her as well because she is disingenuous.
Matthew Rolston went through every girl and pointed out their flaws; as in this eyebrow is slightly lower than that one. It was one of the more interesting photo shoots. There were no weird gimmicks. Models were placed under a shelf of water with a sea creature (lobster, eel, octopus etc) beside them, made to look like sea goddesses.
Judging time! Kayla is called a chameleon. Esther is compared to a young Elizabeth Taylor. The judges faun over Ann again. Chris’ is Rolston’s favourite. They do not want to see Lexie’s profile anymore. When talking about Liz’s attitude problems, Matthew imparted these words of wisdom. “Never complain, never explain, just be it.” If I could, I would so snap my fingers in Z formation.
Ann wins best picture (third week in a row-watch out Ann! These models will claw your eyes out!) and Kacey gets second.
Bottom two is Liz and Rhianna. And Rhiannon is sent home, which is a bit of a shocker. But they’ve got Ann. And she had too much screen time for dull complaining in this episode to be safe.
Beware models: more screen time complaining means you’re probably headed home.
What did you think of this episode? Any favourite models yet? There weren’t many whacky Tyra moments, except the tea party. Leave your comments below!
