LONE STAR Cancelled, Replaced by LIE TO ME Season 3

Lone Star / Lie to Me
FOX’s new series, LONE STAR is officially cancelled after only two episodes aired. Unfortunately, this doesn’t really come as a surprise since ratings had been really poor for the two episodes (sinking as low as 3.2 million for the second episode which aired Monday September 27).

On the other hand, the good news is that the LIE TO ME Season 3 premiere has just been pushed up to this coming Monday, October 4 at 9pm, and as a huge Lie To Me fan, I can’t help but do a happy dance because Cal Lightman will be back on my screen in a mere few days. Yay!

In the premiere episode, “In The Red,” LIGHTMAN (Tim Roth) goes to great lengths to prevent a man fueled by revenge (guest star Shawn Doyle, “Big Love”) from robbing a bank. In the process, Lightman sets to right a wrong by holding a guilty man accountable for his actions.

LoneStar got shafted. This show had so much potential and it was finally something that was relatively believable unlike the crap of 24 and Lost. The show was one of the first to actually leave me waiting for the next episode on network television. I guess I will just stick with my cable channel television (Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, etc).

    Bring Back Lonestar.

I watched the pilot of Lone Star when I was on vacation on an On Demand Channel because it looked exciting and interesting. Are you crazy, you should give this show a chance. When I watched the pilot, I am like Wow what a great show. I liked the characters so much. Please rethink this decision. I am sick of cop shows and forensic shows. Please bring this well acted show back. I loved the lead character and his father…and all the women, etc. Come on. please bring back LoneStar
