A fugitive kills a State Trooper’s son in what appears to be a brutal act of revenge in this episode of CHASE, called “Repo”. Turns out that the man had all of his possessions confiscated when he was arrested and now he’s tracking down all of his cars and killing anyone who won’t give them up. What he’s really after is a bunch of cash that he hid in each car and he’s not about to let his retirement plan go. When one of the new owners finds the stash and goes on the run himself with his girlfriend, it makes the job even harder for Annie and her team. Especially when the guy decides to give the money back and arranges a meet with the killer. Luckily the meet goes well and an innocent life is spared, leaving Annie and Jimmy to catch the creep before he escapes with the last of his money.
My favorite bits…
Finding out that Jimmy has a pet gecko and that when it shows up in the office, everyone knows his girl has booted him out again.
Annie’s emotional response to talking to the murdered man’s father. I am liking how they are giving us a chance to get to know the families of the victims. It really makes me more into the chase.
Jimmy saying that El Lobo not believing in the authority of Texas government just made the guy a true Texan. LOL.
Finding out the Lobo still had three more cars out there and therefore three more people who were in danger.
Jimmy and Annie getting to a scene so close after Lobo that Jimmy had to end up stopping their latest victim from bleeding to death. Ah! So close.
The whole sequence with Annie and Lobo both taking the cars apart and Annie finally figuring out why he kept abandoning the vehicles after he got them.
Lobo laughing at the joke on his Bazooka gum wrapper. Somehow, it made him even more scary. Probably because right after that, he killed a cop.
Annie getting into the mind of Lobo – reading his books, listening to his music, even chewing his gum.
Getting incredibly creeped out when Lobo went to visit the mom in the hospital and then relieved when he didn’t kill the woman.
Annie and Jimmy discussing what got him kicked out of his girlfriend’s place. I’m really liking the friendship between these two.
Actually starting to like the shrimper after he said he only wanted to be worthy of his girl’s love. Aw.
Jimmy dressing up like room service.
Lobo accepting the shrimper’s offer and even giving him his ring back. Whew. I thought that dude was dead for sure.
Jimmy’s mad driving skills sending Lobo and his truck off the road and into a flip, then Annie’s boots coming up and her telling him he should have taken her offer. Nice way to bring it all back to the opening scene.
Everyone talking about what they would have done if they’d found the money in the car.
Annie bringing Jimmy his grandfather’s gun after getting it back from his girlfriend.
Overall I really enjoyed this episode of Chase. I love how it pulls me in so fast to the story and even before the second commercial break, I’m already nervously watching as they track down the bad guy’s every move. I also like how we’re getting to know more about the characters throughout the chase.
What did you think of the episode? Got any favorite bits or least favorite bits of your own? I’d love to hear from you!
