DEXTER: Sex, Marry or Kill?

DEXTER (Season 5)

In time for DEXTER‘s premiere tonight at 9pm on Showtime, our wonderful writer Dani just wrote a really great article on her own blog Riddle Me This, in which she asks the very interesting question: If you had to choose, which would choose to do with a serial killer like Dexter?

1) Have sex
2) Marry
3) Kill

Dani makes a really interesting point when she explains:

Here’s the thing. He is a serial killer. But he only kills bad people? But he loves doing it. And he only kills bad people because he was told that is how he should do it to avoid getting caught. If not for the code, wouldn’t he just kill anyone without a second thought? Therein lies the conflict.

So, what say you? It’s time to vote!

    Interesting! Not one person would marry Dexter, but 60% would have sex with him. We must love danger!

    I am honestly not sure what I would do which is what made me think of the question. The moral part of it gets me every time. Yes, the people he kills are bad, but is that by choice?

    Maybe that is why the majority chooses sex – they dont have to think too much about what he is done because then he is just gone?

      Because I’m odd, I chose marry. Serial killer issue aside, he’s a darned good husband. And I’d really only be worried about the serial killer bit if we had kids, which aren’t really my thing anyway. So then the only real immediate danger is to me, and I’D probably be more of a worry than someone like Dexter.

      A) I clearly over-thought this.
      B) I sound psychopathic.

      I’m with Candice, I would probably marry Dexter. He is a pretty good husband.

      Now my only question is, would it be better not to know that he was in fact a serial killer and live in blissful ignorance like Rita, or would you actually know what he was up to?
