Episode Synopsis: THE BIG C “There’s No C In Team” Episode 3 – When Cathy’s attempt to connect to the people closest to her fails, she signs up for a well meaning, but over-bearing cancer support group. Adam rebuffs Cathy’s attempts to connect with him, so she decides to put together a dinner party with Andrea, Sean and Daphne. Meanwhile, Paul tries to win back his wife’s love with an elaborately romantic gesture. Marlene discovers Cathy’s cancer secret in a most unusual way.

Linney plays a reserved suburban wife and mother whose recent cancer diagnosis forces her to shake up her life and find hope, humor and the light side of a dark situation, while managing her immature but well-meaning husband, played by Oliver Platt. Recurring guest star Gabourey Sidibe (Oscar® nominee for Precious) will play a precocious student.
