ONE TREE HILL and LIFE UNEXPECTED Plan October Crossover

ONE TREE HILL is about to invade LIFE UNEXPECTED. Entertainment Weekly reports that the two CW shows will stage a crossover when One Tree Hill’s Haley and Mia (Bethany Joy Galeotti and Kate Voegele) travel to Portland in a Life Unexpected episode to perform at a music festival sponsored by Cate and Ryan’s radio station. Haley and Cate will apparently bond because they both became mothers at a young age.

The episode will air October 12 and the CW is apparently hoping that the crossover will bump up Life Unexpected’s ratings by attracting One Tree Hill’s devoted fans.

One Tree Hill returns for its eighth season Tuesday September 14 at 8pm/ 7 central. The sophomore season premiere of Life Unexpected will air immediately afterward at 9pm/ 8 central.

    I stopped watching One Tree Hill so I’m not really sure where they are at in the story. That said I actually think the idea of having Haley and Mia perform in Life Unexpected is pretty great, so I’m looking forward to it.

      I love that there is a logical reason for Haley and Mia to visit without it seeming forced. Plus, anything that gets people to watch LUX works for me.

      I still watch One Tree Hill. Old habits die hard and I need my Sophia Bush fix. Never really considered a crossover like this but I think it has potential. Like Michelle says, at least there is a logical plot point for it. Although, Mia is not one of my favorite characters. Haley, on the other hand, rocks. Have you heard her real life music?
