Enrique Murciano Drops OFF THE MAP On ABC

Actor Enrique Murciano has left ABC’s upcoming new series OFF THE MAP from medical drama czar Shonda Rhimes.

The show, which premieres midseason, follows a team of idealistic doctors a tiny town in the South American jungle which has one understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic. Murciano appeared in the pilot episode as Manny Diaz, but has been dropped from the series for what producers called “creative reasons.” His role in the series is not expected to be recast. Murciano’s exit comes just after Twilight‘s Rachelle Lefevre joined the cast last week.
